Didn't vote because either one works for me, though I do have a slight preference towards DFG due to that being the version I'm familiar with. If we go with base, I'll just have to mess with stuff to get it to work right.

As far as I know it's the same, the only difference I know of is he fixed the cat/mouth problem, and because of that it's not compatible with standard DF

If we do do the vanilla DF (with tilesets if you want 'em), then we should at least all apply the cat mouth bugfix.

Forgive my ignorance but... What is DFG? As long as I can use the Mayday tileset, really, I'm good. DFG is Mayday's modified version of DF that comes uses his tileset, and a few other odds and ends are tweaked. If we use vanilla DF you are free to use whatever tilesets you wish (Mayday included)

I see. I guess I'm cool with either, then. I didn't realize they were different other than the tileset. Installing the Mayday tileset in vanilla DF isn't overly complicated, is it? I suppose I should get cracking on figuring that out.
